Proceeding contribution from Earl Peel (Conservative) in the House of Lords on Wednesday, 15 March 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill on Natural Environment and Rural Communities Bill.
Natural Environment and Rural Communities Bill
My Lords, the Minister’s intervention has certainly shortened the debate to the extent that I shall not say what I had intended to say, other than to commend to the House the amendment of the noble Lord, Lord Cameron. In my view, unless a commitment to rural proofing is in the Bill, the future credibility of the CRC is in doubt. I very much welcome what the Minister has said.
