Proceeding contribution from Lembit Opik (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 26 April 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill on Northern Ireland Bill.
Northern Ireland Bill
I am delighted that we violently agree. Actions speak louder than words, and I hope that we can have those conversations in parallel with any negotiations that take place after the Bill is passed. If the Minister has good ideas on how we can make the process better, there is no reason why we should wait until 24 November to implement them, because we could start doing that now. I look forward to tomorrow’s short Committee and Report stages—
