Proceeding contribution from Lord Faulkner of Worcester (Labour) in the House of Lords on Tuesday, 9 May 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on Health Bill.
Health Bill
That leads me on to the second point I hope the noble Lord will be able to respond to: his comments on the speech of my noble friend Lord Rosser. Indeed, that was what gave rise to this disagreement over the declaration of interests. The noble Lord, Lord Naseby, said:"““to the best of my knowledge, this is the first occasion that the noble Lord, Lord Rosser, has spoken on this issue””.—[Official Report, 24/4/06; col. GC 43.]" That was a slightly odd thing to say, because the speaker in the Second Reading debate immediately before the noble Lord, Lord Naseby, was my noble friend Lord Rosser, whose record on this subject is well known. My noble friend’s speech immediately preceded that of the noble Lord.
