I certainly have not come as a messenger boy for my noble friend; I was just seeking for the record to be put straight. Indeed, I would not have intervened at this point had the noble Lord, Lord Naseby, not referred to me in his opening comments. I was merely going to say on this clause that it is wholly in line with the legislation that has been followed in Scotland, in Ireland and in many states of the United States. We expect some areas which are open to the public, such as sports stadiums, to be smoke-free so people can avoid the inconvenience and danger of second-hand smoke. I hope the clause will not be taken out.
