Proceeding contribution from Lord Faulkner of Worcester (Labour) in the House of Lords on Tuesday, 9 May 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on Health Bill.
Health Bill
Indeed, I would like to take the opportunity of correcting the second part of that, which my noble friend Lord Warner did. My noble friend clarified the situation on free votes. My noble friend said that on those issues on which the House of Commons had a free vote, the Members of your Lordships’ House will also have a free vote. So the free vote will apply in the same areas as those that applied in the House of Commons. I am very happy for that to be on the record.
