Proceeding contribution from Earl Howe (Conservative) in the House of Lords on Tuesday, 9 May 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on Health Bill.

Health Bill

That is a helpful comment. I am grateful also to the noble Lord, Lord Faulkner, for telling us what has happened in Scotland, which has a bearing on this. I shall consider carefully what the Minister has said with regard to not placing any prescription in the Bill about the level of fine. I am sure there is validity in what he has said, but I shall need to go away and consider how much validity. For the time being, I beg leave to withdraw the amendment. Amendment, by leave, withdrawn. On Question, whether Clause 6 shall stand part of the Bill?
