Proceeding contribution from Baroness Miller of Chilthorne Domer (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Lords on Wednesday, 24 May 2006. It occurred during Committee proceeding and Debate on bill on Animal Welfare Bill.

Animal Welfare Bill

I thank the Minister for her lengthy and detailed reply. It was helpful. She correctly picked up the bits that were we unhappy with—some of them, I think, in common. It will be a fruitful area for discussion. Given the time of night, I shall not reply in more detail. I am glad that the Minister is able to say that Amendment No. 74, at least, should appear in the Bill in some form and we look forward to those discussions between now and Report. I beg leave to withdraw the amendment. Amendment, by leave, withdrawn.
