Proceeding contribution from Keith Simpson (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 24 January 2007. It occurred during Adjournment debate on Iraq and the wider Middle East.

Iraq and the wider Middle East

I am grateful to the right hon. and learned Gentleman. If the right hon. and learned Gentleman were simply urging the Government to withdraw ““in the near future””, or something like that, he would probably have much sympathy on both sides of the House, but what would he do if the chiefs of staff said that a specific date was impossible?
