Welsh Affairs
The Secretary of State knows that my hon. Friend the Member for Meirionnydd Nant Conwy (Mr. Llwyd) signed that motion—as did many Labour Members—because we oppose the principle of privatisation. I was asked to support the consortium bid on behalf of Plaid Cymru and we gladly did so, because it was meant to have cross-party, all-Wales support. To say that Plaid Cymru did not support the consortium is factually incorrect.
