My Lords, as my department is often heavily engaged in the European Court in one way or another, I understand what my noble friend is saying. I was giving the Government’s view of the impact of the discussions in Europe, the implications that it has or does not have for the UK and why we do not think a referendum is necessary in that context. On Question, Motion agreed.
