Proceeding contribution from Stephen Hammond (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Thursday, 13 December 2007. It occurred during Debate on bill on Crossrail Bill.

Crossrail Bill

I am afraid the hon. Gentleman misses the point. The amendment is nothing to do with compulsory purchase of land. It deals with easements and rights of way. The point that he makes is therefore not relevant. I listened carefully to the hon. Member for Leicester, South (Sir Peter Soulsby) and I accept that a date definition is difficult. He would have to accept that dates referred to in the Bill are not ideal.
