Proceeding contribution from Joan Ruddock (Labour) in the House of Commons on Friday, 20 March 2009. It occurred during Debate on bill on Fuel Poverty Bill.

Fuel Poverty Bill

I simply wish to reiterate what the hon. Gentleman has just stated, because that is, indeed, the policy of the Government and will continue to be so. The argument that I shall come to when I get the opportunity to speak is about the absolutist position embodied in the Bill and the fact that current legislation does say""as far as reasonably practicable"."
