Proceeding contribution from Stewart Hosie (Scottish National Party) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 22 March 2011. It occurred during Debate on bill on Budget Responsibility and National Audit Bill [Lords].
Budget Responsibility and National Audit Bill [Lords]
The hon. Gentleman is being generous in giving way, but I am quite keen to probe this issue. What he has said makes perfect logical sense, but at that point the OBR would be commenting not on UK policy, but on regional or national policy. If it were commenting on a micro-policy, rather than policy at the UK level, would that not put it in difficult political territory?
