Proceeding contribution from Richard Graham (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Thursday, 10 November 2011. It occurred during Debate and Adjournment debate on Armed Forces Personnel.

Armed Forces Personnel

The Minister might have heard earlier the suggestion from the Leader of the House, in response to my question, that we should recognise the contribution of all communities to the international security assistance force in Afghanistan, including the British Muslims about whom we heard last night from the Muslim Army chaplain. May I also seek the Minister's moral support for the application that I am helping my landlady to make at the moment? She is now 98, and would be very grateful to receive the medals for her late husband, Major Hamish Wilson, who died in 1943. She will be making that application shortly, and I think that it is very appropriate at this time of year.
