Proceeding contribution from Lord Lester of Herne Hill (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Lords on Wednesday, 13 July 2005. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee of the Whole House (HL) on Equality Bill (HL).

Equality Bill [HL]

I think that the matter has been covered already, but I would be grateful for reassurance. Clause 48(2) gives a non-exhaustive definition of the   matters to which the clause refers. It says that subsection (1) applies in particular—that is, not exhaustively—to, among other things,"““facilities for entertainment, recreation or refreshment””." ““Recreation”” means play, so there is no need for the amendment.
