Proceeding contribution from Charles Clarke (Labour) in the House of Commons on Thursday, 10 November 2005. It occurred during Debate on bill on Terrorism Bill.

Terrorism Bill

No, I did not, but again, I am delighted that the readership of The Guardian now encompasses large numbers of Opposition Members. That is a major development. The hon. Member for Chesham and Amersham (Mrs. Gillan) says from a sedentary position that she can read. I am delighted that in her case that is true. I notice that the hon. Member for Buckingham (John Bercow) claims with pride to write for The Guardian. So he should claim with pride. I note that he opposed the Bill on Second Reading. I hope he will support it today. We shall see.
