Perhaps I may interrupt the Minister for a moment to ask him whether I understood him correctly when he said that the amendment of the noble and learned Lord, Lord Cameron, would introduce uncertainty into subsection (3). Is he suggesting that this is a mandatory sentence of life imprisonment?
