Proceeding contribution from Baroness Laing of Elderslie (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Monday, 16 January 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill on Equality Bill (HL).
Equality Bill [Lords]
I thank the hon. Gentleman for giving way. If he has just paid me a compliment—I am never sure—I thank him for that as well. The hon. Gentleman is making an excellent argument about why debate on equality has to address all strands of equality, in every way that we can imagine, but he is arguing against his apparent argument on the Order Paper for pre-eminence for race, religion and belief.
