Proceeding contribution from Tom Brake (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 8 March 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill on Road Safety Bill [Lords].
Road Safety Bill [Lords]
I thank the hon. Gentleman for letting me have the opportunity to put on record the position of the Liberal Democrats on death by careless driving. I hope he agrees that it should be possible in Committee to provide sufficient clarity for those of us who are not opposed in principle to the offence so that we can support the Government’s position.
