Proceeding contribution from Andrew Turner (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 4 July 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill on Finance (No. 2) Bill.
Finance (No. 2) Bill
A solution that does not work is not a solution. We can examine the proposal, but we need information to do so. The hon. Member for Inverness, Nairn, Badenoch and Strathspey (Danny Alexander), who tabled the new clause, has not provided the information that the House needs to examine the proposal, so it is neither a useful solution nor, indeed, a useful proposal.
