Proceeding contribution from Lord Garden (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Lords on Thursday, 12 October 2006. It occurred during Committee of the Whole House (HL) and Debate on bill on Armed Forces Bill.
Armed Forces Bill
I am most grateful to the Minister for that explanation. It appears that what I am after is going to be achieved anyway, but it will not be implemented before the civilian Section 61 is brought in. The Minister is obviously a great optimist to believe that, after six years, that will happen in the next couple of months—but I am entirely content with the amendment. On Question, amendment agreed to.
