moved AmendmentNo. 35: After Clause 50, insert the following new clause- ““EXTRA-TERRITORIAL JURISDICTION Where the courts of any part of the United Kingdom have extra-territorial jurisdiction under statute to try, determine or punish any service offence committed abroad, the person accused may elect to be tried in the United Kingdom for the offence.”” The noble Lord said: My Lords, fifty-seven minutes have passed since I spoke to this amendment, but my determination to have the opinion of your Lordships' House on it has not diminished.
