I absolutely support what the hon. Gentleman is saying because I have exactly the same problem in my constituency. It might surprise him to hear that I was due to have my photo taken with TSSA officials last week at Haydons Road station because of the closing times there. I am sure that many people, including my constituents, welcomed Lord Adonis's intervention to stop South West Trains closing station ticket offices, but I am afraid that using the same criteria could be Trojan horse for more closures. Apparently, the criteria that has been given to South West Trains is that ticket offices must have more than 12 transactions per hour or he will allow them to close later in the year.
