Proceeding contribution from Rob Marris (Labour) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 13 May 2009. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee of the Whole House (HC) on Finance Bill.
Finance Bill
On amendments, may I suggest that the Minister looks at the definition of a senior accounting officer? Currently the definition is""the director or officer of the company who has overall responsibility"." I think that it should be a director; it should not just be an officer, who could be below board level. I want the focus to which I referred in one of my interventions on the generous hon. Member for Fareham (Mr. Hoban).
