Defence Policy
I thank the right hon. Gentleman for that. When we were in the United States did he sense that the Americans were being very thoughtful about what the purpose of the possible increase in the number of troops might be? Does he not only welcome that, but agree that they do not need to delay too long, because there is a danger of a vacuum emerging if they do so? Would he therefore urge them to get on with making their decision?
