Proceeding contribution from Lord Maude of Horsham (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 3 November 2009. It occurred during Committee of the Whole House (HC) and Debate on bill on Constitutional Reform and Governance Bill.
Constitutional Reform and Governance Bill
I have listened to the comments of the Minister and others. We think that this duty is an important part of the obligations on civil servants and that a statement of that would give additional protection to civil servants, but there are other ways of addressing the issue and we should look into them further. I beg to ask leave to withdraw the amendment. Amendment, by leave, withdrawn. Clause 7 ordered to stand part of the Bill.
