Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Bill

The Minister, typically, has been extremely soothing and courteous. I was nearly lulled into accepting much of what he said. I thank him warmly for accepting amendment No. 11. My concerns remain, however, and I think that concerns remain on behalf of businesses, and small businesses in particular. It is my judgment that the defence of reasonableness should appear in the Bill, notwithstanding the Minister’s kind words. It is because we feel so strongly about this matter and the need to put the provision in the Bill that we will put the issue to the vote. I beg to ask leave to withdraw amendment.
