Northern Ireland (Miscellaneous Provisions) Bill
Can the Secretary of State clarify the role of the Electoral Commission? Clarity would be appreciated on the extent to which the commission will be able to check political parties’ compliance with the requirements on donations, whether it will be asked to give an opinion on the extent to which political parties are observing those requirements and what it is to do if it believes that one or more political parties has failed to comply with the law.
