Proceeding contribution from John Healey (Labour) in the House of Commons on Monday, 10 December 2007. It occurred during Debate on bill on Planning Bill.

Planning Bill

I do not think that I could have been clearer when I said that if, following the scrutiny of the special Committees that the House sets up to exercise that scrutiny, they judged that sufficient time should be made available for debate in this Chamber, we would make that time available where there were merits. That would be subject to the normal terms of this House, and it is quite feasible to see votes on such debates.
