Finance Bill

One of the great dangers in political life is that, when one repeats a mantra often enough, one starts to believe one's own propaganda. Those figures are entirely invented, and their repetition by Labour Members does not make them true. What is true is that the Bill increases taxes on 5.3 million households. That is the hon. Gentleman's Labour party's record and the legacy of the party of Keir Hardie to people around the country.
