Proceeding contribution from Lord Low of Dalston (Crossbench) in the House of Lords on Monday, 21 July 2008. It occurred during Committee of the Whole House (HL) and Debate on bill on Education and Skills Bill.
Education and Skills Bill
I am grateful to the noble Baroness. I am still comparatively inexperienced in this place, and once when I sought to withdraw an amendment that was grouped I was told that that was not the correct procedure, so I was waiting for my amendment to fall with the rest. However, I am happy to take my cue from the noble Baroness. I am grateful to the Minister for his careful response. I am sure that Skill will be more than anxious to participate with the discussions and the work of which he has spoken over the summer. I look forward to hearing from him about the outcome of that work before we return to these issues on Report. On that basis, I am more than happy not to press the amendment.
