Proceeding contribution from Duke of Montrose (Conservative) in the House of Lords on Monday, 10 November 2008. It occurred during Debate on bill on Planning Bill.

Planning Bill

My Lords, it is interesting that overhead lines are exempted from consideration under the Bill if they are less than 132 kilovolts. Is the Minister saying that there is no limit on underground lines and that the kilovolts on any underground line would be a permitted development?
