Security of Supply

My hon. Friend the Member for Bolsover (Mr. Skinner) has made a strong point about Haworth colliery, whose work force is listening closely to the debate. The Minister for Energy said in an Adjournment debate in Westminster Hall yesterday:"““We are considering the proposal on Haworth colliery and I will respond to the company in the very near future.””—[Official Report, Westminster Hall, 11 January 2006; Vol. 441, c. 97WH.]" The clock is ticking, and we need a decision before the end of January. If we are to have an indigenous coal industry, we need a positive decision.
