Proceeding contribution from Oliver Heald (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Monday, 30 June 2008. It occurred during Opposition day on Energy Security.

Energy Security

Germany, which was mentioned in the context of gas from Russia, has made strenuous efforts to diversify its energy supply. I believe that it is installing something like 130,000 photovoltaic panels a year, while we are only installing about 200. That shows that other countries have taken decisions and got on with the job of providing alternative sources of energy, while our lot have been snoozing.
