Banking Bill
My Lords, I thank the Minister for setting that out. I am not entirely clear that the Treasury, which is quite capable of interpreting the public interest and financial stability in quite imaginative ways, as I think we have seen in the way in which they have approached some recent issues, might not make a case one day to take over Tesco plc. Perhaps we can leave Tesco to fight that battle for itself. I beg leave to withdraw. Amendment 64 withdrawn.
