Proceeding contribution from Martin Horwood (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Commons on Monday, 7 December 2009. It occurred during Debate on bill on Energy Bill.
Energy Bill
I am broadly in sympathy with the hon. Gentleman's argument. It is long overdue that sustainability should take a major place in Ofgem's remit. Is he satisfied with the rather circuitous and convoluted way in which the Bill attempts to do that, by redefining sustainability as one of the consumer benefits?
