I support the amendment moved by the noble Lord, Lord Berkeley. The whole issue of noise around airports is one to which we shall return. To the extent that premises such as those mentioned by the noble Lord have been given protection by installation and ventilation, that is good. On Wednesday, there was a report in the Times, to which we did not refer, that Ministers are consulting on changing the way in which airliners approach and leave Heathrow. Up to now, there has been some alleviation of noise because the runways are used in alternating order, so that at least for half the day, people get some relief from the noise. If the Government intend after consultation that people will be subjected to even more noise, which is in itself objectionable and something that we may not support, I should like to hear from the Minister that there is some intention to give the afflicted communities some relief by means of the measures to which the noble Lord, Lord Berkeley, referred.
