Proceeding contribution from Lord Davies of Oldham (Labour) in the House of Lords on Thursday, 8 December 2005. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on Civil Aviation Bill.
Civil Aviation Bill
Perhaps I may finish this point; then of course I will give way to my noble friend. Secondly, when fresh evidence emerges—such as the evidence to which the noble Countess referred and which my noble friend’s organisation is presenting—we have a structure that can respond to and consider such factors lest there be a real issue to which we need to address ourselves more directly. On that basis, and given our good faith, I shall ask the noble Countess to withdraw her amendment, but I shall certainly not conclude my remarks while my noble friend Lord Clinton-Davis wishes to ask a question or make a point.
