Civil Aviation Bill
As a resident of a frontier town on the borders of Essex, I must say that I am absolutely shocked that the noble Lord, Lord Bradshaw, has not visited the county. I can assure him that it is quite safe and even those of us from Hertfordshire venture across from time to time to the various delights of that county. The noble Lord, Lord Hanningfield, of course, knows, Essex well, so it was no surprise to me when he introduced the amendment that Stansted airport should feature largely in what he said.
