Proceeding contribution from Lord Hanningfield (Conservative) in the House of Lords on Monday, 5 December 2005. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on Civil Aviation Bill.

Civil Aviation Bill

I have had representations from virtually every London borough, backed by their legal offices, and from all sorts of groups of people. If legal people’s reading of the Bill is such that there will be a considerable worsening of the situation, I believe them. It is not just one group: lots of people have approached me on this legislation saying that it could lead to a vast increase in the number of night flights, particularly in London.
