Proceeding contribution from Lord Bradshaw (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Lords on Monday, 5 December 2005. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on Civil Aviation Bill.

Civil Aviation Bill

I note what the Minister says. I have not got to hand an indication of what the penalties for breach of noise limits at the designated airports are, but I shall get those noise limits before Report and compare them on a normal and logarithmic scale to see whether they make the crime fit the penalty because that is what we want to do. Those who breach things deserve to pay. I beg leave to withdraw the amendment. Amendment, by leave, withdrawn. [Amendments Nos. 26 and 27 not moved.] Clause 4 agreed to.
