Proceeding contribution from Lord Clinton-Davis (Labour) in the House of Lords on Thursday, 8 December 2005. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on Civil Aviation Bill.

Civil Aviation Bill

I do not think that the issue I have raised can properly be described as ““a small nut””. When it comes to the flying crew and the passengers, it is more than that. But I welcome what my noble friend has said. There ought to be some discussion and some resolution of this important issue, and what he has said points in that direction. It is vital that the committee to which he has referred should consider this issue. It will have read—I hope—what the Committee has said about that, and, more particularly, what my noble friend has said. Having regard to that, I beg leave to withdraw the amendment. Amendment, by leave, withdrawn. [Amendment No. 34 not moved.] Clause 7 agreed to.
