The hon. Lady mentioned Conservative policy on banking. Has she read the letters page in today's Financial Times? Tom Brown, senior credit executive at Norddeutsche Landesbank, finds it especially disconcerting that the shadow Chancellor is revealed as a man who does not have"““the haziest grasp on the cause of the crisis””" or how banks work. If the hon. Lady is taking advice from the shadow Chancellor, surely those comments are devastating.
