Proceeding contribution from Mike Weir (Scottish National Party) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 18 November 2008. It occurred during Debate on bill on Energy Bill.
Energy Bill
I accept the spirit of what the hon. Gentleman says; I was not suggesting that we needed to build requirements into the Bill. I was just making the point that the issue will have to be tackled, along with the introduction of the feed-in tariff. Grid access is a real problem, and we should not blind ourselves to it. To conclude, I warmly welcome the distance we have travelled, and I hope that we can travel that last bit of distance and have a feed-in tariff regime that will really workâand work quickly.
